Mr. Chairman, members of the committee, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to speak at this hearing.
My name is Paul Huebner. I am a rank-and-file union member of Carpenters' Local 1110, in Washington, D. C. I have served my local as trustee, as financial secretary and I am now serving as one of the local's two elected delegates to the regional council. Over the past several years, I have also networked with carpenters and other union members around the country. I am a member of Carpenters for a Democratic Union and we have been fortunate to get the assistance of the Association for Union Democracy.
