Softwood's back on table
VANCOUVER -- After two weeks of examining a Canadian plan to resolve the softwood lumber dispute, the American lumber lobby says it's ready to resume negotiations.
Rusty Wood, chairman of the U.S. Coalition for Fair Lumber Imports, said Thursday that the coalition will have a response to a Canadian settlement proposal later this week.
