Grills Emit 225,000 Tons Of Greenhouse Gases On July 4: "More than the savory smell of hamburgers and hot dogs will be rising on the Fourth of July when 60 million Americans fire up their barbecues on the biggest grilling day of the year.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory researchers say the grills will give off 225,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide - a greenhouse gas thought to be a major factor in climate change."
