Contractors, carpenters reach deal to end strike
Contractors and striking carpenters reached a tentative agreement last night to end a weeklong strike by about 8,000 union carpenters in Western and Central Washington.

The carpenters will return to work Monday and vote on the proposed contract next week, said Ole Olsen, a spokesman for the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters.
