NAFTA-Softwood - CBC news: A NAFTA panel is set to deliver a major ruling Wednesday that could overturn punishing American countervailing duties on Canadian softwood imports and spell relief for beleaguered lumber companies and workers.
The panel, set up to address disputes under the North American Free Trade Agreement, is reviewing Canada's appeal of countervailing duties imposed in May 2002 that have cost Canadian exporters more than $1 billion so far in tariffs.
