Labor demonstrators target movie theater site, developer By Daniel J. Chacón
The union's use of banners with the wording 'shame on' may violate labor laws. The general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board filed an unfair labor practices complaint against the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners last fall for displaying banners with similar wording at San Diego construction sites.
