Labor unions promote Gephardt's candidacy in Iowa By Matt Stearns, Knight Ridder
The latest polls put Gephardt in a pack of four candidates vying for the lead, but polls don't win caucus votes - organization does.
Not all of labor is backing Gephardt. Two of the most powerful unions in the AFL-CIO, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and the Service Employees International Union, endorsed former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean.
