A growing gap between union haves and have-nots is fueling an insurgent campaign to unseat the 70-year-old Haynes, who is expected to run in September for reelection to a third five-year term.
'Carl is living the life of Riley,' said Eunice Rodriguez, a school safety officer and the union's recording secretary, who is challenging him for the presidency.
