Men Who Sleep With Wolves - Part 2 posted by remote_viewer, ufcw.net MfD
The co-opting of labour leaders into the role of business partners is part of the human resources management pillar - a strategy intended to control workers who have achieved the legal right to collective action. It's really no surprise that this strategy has been employed by the corporate psycho. It's predictable in fact. Our current labour relations statutory scheme came about as a result of corporate fears that workers were getting close to breaking their chains. The scheme granted unions some much longed for rights, but also put in place a system that encouraged union-corporate conspiracy by bureaucratizing unions and shifting the locus of power from the rank and file to the leaders and rewarding those who kept the working stiffs under their thumbs.
