AFL-CIO Will Keep Mum on Iraq and National Security By Harry Kelber
As important as the job issue is, it can get boring after countless repetitions of the facts, which the AFL-CIO has been hammering away at for the past year in handouts and numerous press statements by President John Sweeney. What else is the AFL-CIO going to talk about in the next seven months of the election campaign?
Some issues I feel sure the AFL-CIO leadership and the official labor press won't talk about are Iraq, national security and the war on terrorism, because in the past year, those subjects have been absolutely taboo.------------------------------------------- posted 7:17 AM :: reference link ::
