Worker on roof falls 4 stories and survives By AUSTIN FENNER, New York Daily News
A Manhattan construction worker survived a four-story fall from an upper West Side building yesterday, landing atop a sidewalk shelter, officials said.
The unidentified man was on the roof of the New York International Hostel, a travel lodge at Amsterdam Ave. and 103rd St., putting up a scaffold around 10 a.m. when he tumbled about 30 feet, said Department of Buildings spokeswoman Ilyse Fink.
