    Steelworkers avoid strike, reach accord with Northrop Grumman By ALLISON CONNOLLY, The Virginian-Pilot
    The United Steelworkers of America Local 8888 has reached a tentative agreement with management at Northrop Grumman Newport News, averting a strike planned for Monday.

    The union brought the agreement to members Saturday at Hampton Coliseum. Members are scheduled to vote on it Wednesday.
