Buyout gone bad By Jeff Smith, Rocky Mountain News
Gormly said he worked at Mobile Tool for 18 years and estimated his stock for retirement was valued at $100,000 at one time. He now is doing some remodeling work to make ends meet.

"Eighteen years down the drain," he said last week.

He drives a 1994 green Cadillac with a sign on the side of the car that reflects how he feels about the whole experience of employee ownership at Mobile Tool International.

The sign reads: "Mobile Fool International."
