Local workers fight for fair labor By SYDNEY IGLEHEART, Pasadena Citizen, TX
Local carpenters and scaffold builders are coming together to fight for fair labor practices.
'United Scaffolding Services is exploiting their workers,' said Business Development Leader for the Texas Carpenters and Millwrights Regional Council Albert Pineda.
Pineda and other Carpenter Union members picketed outside of the United Scaffolding yard at 208 Shaw Ave. Monday morning.
The same company is facing unfair labor practice charges at the Chevron Refinery in Pascagoula, Miss. Representatives from United Scaffolding Services are to appear before a Federal Court in New Orleans, La., on Aug. 9.------------------------------------------- posted 6:28 AM :: reference link ::
