Philly unions confront Cirque du Soleil By MICHAEL RUBINKAM, AP
PHILADELPHIA - The city's powerful labor unions reached an agreement with Cirque du Soleil on Friday that will allow the touring Canadian circus to set up shop in South Philadelphia in advance of a month's worth of largely sold-out performances.

Unionized carpenters had walked picket lines around Cirque's gigantic blue-and-yellow tent for a second day Friday, halting setup work at the site and jeopardizing next Thursday's opening performance.
