Hoffa: Answers in Dad's Case Less Likely By LEIGH STROPE, AP Labor Writer
Hoffa also criticized remarks by the president of the largest union in the AFL-CIO to the effect that organized labor might be better off if John Kerry wasn't elected. Andy Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union, had said Monday that the dwindling labor movement is in crisis, and a Democrat in the White House might quell the urgency for reform.
'Ridiculous,' Hoffa said of Stern's comments. 'I think it's divisive and I think it hurts our cause, and I think the best thing to do is just disregard his comments.'------------------------------------------- posted 6:10 AM :: reference link ::
