U.S. lumber lobby group demands an appeal of a NAFTA panel decision By GREG JOYCE, CBC News
Shotwell said that if the appeal is unsuccessful, the coalition would urge the U.S. government to argue that the latest ruling is unconstitutional.
'No international group can mandate to an independent agency or an agency of the U.S. government what to do,' he said. 'That is unconstitutional under our Constitution.'
Carl Grenier of the Montreal-based Free Trade Lumber Council said the U.S. government can appeal 'but of course they don't have a chance in hell.'------------------------------------------- posted 7:12 AM :: reference link ::
