Workers In Three Airport Hotels Strike In Effort To Join Union by Keach Hagey, Queens Chronicle, NY
On Thursday, about 30 employees gathered in front of the Holiday Inn at 144-02 135th Street with signs and a giant inflatable rat, chanting “scab” at workers who crossed picket lines and asking potential patrons to go stay at the nearby unionized Radisson instead. Just down the street at the Hampton Inn, their fellow workers gathered in smaller numbers.
Passing Teamster truckers honked in approval, and organizers said many have refused to make their food and beverage deliveries since the strike started on Wednesday.------------------------------------------- posted 8:50 AM :: reference link ::
