Duties may block talks on lumber STEVE MERTL, CP
'Recent statements made in the United States are not only wrong and invalid but they are extremely unhelpful in resolving the softwood lumber issue for the long term,' Peterson said from Davos, Switzerland, where he is attending an international economic forum.
'Canada will not engage in talks if they are based on such a misguided interpretation of the United States obligations under international trade law.
