Feds sue to recover $10M - By John Grant Emeigh, Gary Post Tribune, IN
The U.S. Department of Labor demands the people who defrauded local union Carpenters out of $10 million in the Coffee Creek investment scandal return the money to the rank and file.
The federal government sued late Thursday against the parties involved in purchasing land in Chesterton?s Coffee Creek subdivision at an inflated price.
The suit not only demands six members of the Carpenters Pension Trust Fund return the money to the workers, it wants the pension board swept clean.------------------------------------------- posted 10:00 AM :: reference link ::
