New Coalition for Labor Reform Elects First Officers - By Randy Hall, CNSNews
The schism between the AFL-CIO and several of its largest unions continued to grow on Wednesday, when the Change to Win Coalition, a new alliance intent on rebuilding the American labor movement, elected its first officers.

The organization's executive committee, made up of leaders from five of the largest unions in the AFL-CIO and a union that left the federation four years ago, chose Anna Burger of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) as the coalition's first chair and Edgar Romney of UNITE HERE, which represents hotel, restaurant and apparel workers, as its first treasurer.
