Steelworker Commission issues report on Local 1-3567 - Canada NewsWire
Sonny Ghag is barred from membership in the United Steelworkers with such bar not to be lifted until five years from the date he makes financial restitution. The Commission encourages the local union to 'seek restitution through whatever legal means are available to it.'

Commission finds former union head guilty - By ROD MICKLEBURGH, The Globe and Mail
News media reports after Mr. Ghag's initial suspension from office in late June said that his liquor cabinet at union headquarters contained more than 2,500 cans of beer, nearly 125 litres of hard liquor, including four large bottles of 12-year-old Chivas, and 170 bottles of wine.

This month, the Steelworkers returned two pickup-truck loads of booze to the provincial liquor branch and secured a refund of $8,500.
