BOSS RED-FACED AFTER DRUNK WORKERS JIBE - By Brian Lironi, Glasgow Sunday Mail, UK
A TOP boss has been forced into an embarrassing climbdown after claiming industrial accidents were caused by drunk workers.
David Watt, head of the Institute of Directors, said deaths at work were more often caused by 'alcohol than by individuals acting in a corrupt or homicidal manner.'
He claimed plans for a corporate homicide law in Scotland - which would see firms prosecuted over the deaths of workers - were a 'witch hunt' against bosses.------------------------------------------- posted 8:36 AM :: reference link ::
