    China suddenly the world's top exporter of wood products - By Gordon Hamilton, Vancouver Sun
    China is also the world's No. 1 exporter of wood products, and if the future of the global forest industry is value-added, then China is leading the way, Taylor said in an interview. The country went from being one of the world's largest importers of plywood to the No. 1 exporter almost overnight, he said, and it is developing new engineered wood products that rival oak and cherry in appearance for its huge furniture market.

    I take it this is due to the large amount of wood processing that is going on in China and not due to wood cutting. Am I correct?
