    New Union for free-lancers - by Noelle Boughton, Straight Goods , Canada
    Communications, Energy and Paperworkers organizing self-employed creators.

    Mike O'Reilly, the former Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC) president, was in Toronto recently encouraging writers and other independent creators to join the new Canadian Freelance Union (CFU) so they can turn the tide on 'crappy rates, ridiculous rights demands, and unfair work terms.'
