Back-pay case being reviewed - By Jonathan J. Higuera, The Arizona Republic
The Arizona Attorney General's Office is reviewing a case involving more than 100 carpenters who are owed back pay by a Scottsdale-based framing company.
================
The workers say they are owed three to five weeks of back pay. Veemac Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Vergonia contends most of the workers are owed only two weeks' back pay.
Vergonia, who is on probation after serving time in a federal prison for wire fraud and unlawful weapons possessions, has blamed the company's problems on home builders who have not paid Veemac.------------------------------------------- posted 7:30 AM :: reference link ::
