Other unions back strike by Laborers - By Stephen Franklin, Chicago Tribune
'We talked and we are unified. We are not trying to expand our jurisdiction,' said Robert Bloch, an attorney for the Chicago District Laborers Council, who accused the contractors of stirring unrest with a 'whispering campaign' among Chicago-area unions.

The statement of support was signed, said Bloch, by officials from the Carpenters District Council, Operating Engineers Local 150, Teamsters Joint Council, Cement Masons Local 1, Iron Workers Local 1 and the Chicago Building Trades Council.
