Worker rights fading away - Tim Skubick, Lansing State Journal
A female educator recounted this historic conversation. She was five months pregnant, and her 'enlightened' principal informed her, 'When you can no longer see the tops of your shoes, it will be time for you to get out of the classroom.'
She noted that he couldn't see the tops of his shoes either, but he stayed on the job. But he was not with child ... just tubby. Mind you that was not 1940, but in the late 1960s.------------------------------------------- posted 7:13 AM :: reference link ::
