Cracking down on workplace harassment - By VIRGINIA GALT, Globe and Mail, Canada
One needn't be as blatantly offensive as Isiah Thomas, the disgraced New York Knicks president, to run afoul of anti-harassment codes these days.
There's little doubt that repeatedly calling a colleague "bitch" and "ho" - as Mr. Thomas was found to have done - crosses the line.
What's catching more employees and managers off-guard, however, is the expanded legal definition of harassment to include "psychological" harassment.
