Carpenters councils in Minnesota, northern Wisconsin merge - Workday Minnesota
The Lakes and Plains Regional Council of Carpenters has been dissolved and merged into the Northern Wisconsin Regional Council of Carpenters. The merger creates the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters and Joiners.

The merger, which took effect Nov. 1, essentially creates a four-state council, the union said in a statement issued Wednesday. The council represents more than 20,000 active and retired union Carpenters, Interior Systems and Drywall Carpenters, Floor Coverers, Lathers, Millwrights, and Pile Drivers in 26 locals.
