Foreclosed Homes Can Have Dangerous Problems, Agent Says - WMUR, NH
Some foreclosed homes can be left vacant for weeks or months with dangerous conditions, one local real estate agent said.

New Hampshire is expected to have 3,500 home foreclosures this year. They will be taken over by lenders and will sometimes sit vacant and fall into disrepair.

'Sometimes it happens,' said Jane Law of the state Housing and Finance Authority. 'The property is not left in great shape.'

According to some, bank-owned homes can end in worse shape than when they started. One real estate agent who asked not to be identified said homes can turn into dangers for potential buyers or neighborhood residents.
