    Mr. Chairman and Members of the Subcommittee:

    Thank you for the opportunity to appear before the Subcommittee on Employer-Employee Relations and address the issues before this committee.

    As President of the Carpenters Union, I take my members' democratic rights - and their participation in the governance of our union - seriously.
