Boston Globe / Ironworkers deny incident at a job site Nonunion ironworkers at a South Boston work site told Boston police that their equipment was vandalized last week by a group of union ironworkers.
Police were called to the site at 85 Newmarket Square on July 18 when workers from Ajax Construction called to report the vandalism. No arrests were made, police said, and no descriptions of suspects were available.
Officers spoke with an employee of Ajax, a nonunion company, who said that about 20 men had punctured tires and smashed the windows of five construction vehicles. That employee said the men were from Local 7 of the Ironworkers Union.------------------------------------------- posted 6:24 AM :: reference link ::
