Union carpenters endorse new 4-year contract
The Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters announced Saturday that its workers had agreed to a four-year contract.
Workers went on strike June 25 and returned to work Monday after reaching a tentative agreement. Voting on the contract took place Thursday, Friday and Saturday. About 60 percent of the 2,000 voting union members approved the contract.
