Softwood pact with U.S. hits snag Financial Post
Not everyone is onside: Ontario, Quebec and Alberta remain opposed to deal
Behind the scenes, the real question for many companies is how much of the quota they would be allocated by the federal government, with many indicating privately they could be persuaded to say yes to the deal if they got a little more. The question is then who would take less, with everyone else pointing the finger at British Columbia, the biggest exporter and quota holder.

MLA doesn't like wood deal By Jeff Nagel, Terrace Standard
SKEENA MLA Roger Harris doesn’t like the proposed softwood lumber pact although he has yet to outright oppose it.
“I have grave concern,” Harris said of the deal to settle the long-running dispute between Canada and the U.S. “I think it’s got holes in it.”
