ST. PAUL WINTER CARNIVAL: Hundreds of trades workers volunteer to build ice palace BY KERMIT PATTISON
More than 200 union workers have volunteered in one way or another. Volunteers ranging from glaziers to bricklayers to equipment operators have shown up to work unconventional jobs with an unusual medium: ice.
'People are flocking to help,' said Jim Brown, a volunteer and official with the carpenters union. 'I'd say the number will go up to 400 or 500 by the time we're done.'------------------------------------------- posted 7:03 AM :: reference link ::
