    Minnesotan, Colombian speaking out about trade deals Workday Minnesota
    Steelworker Tara Widner, who helped organize union protests against the Free Trade Area of the Americas last November in Miami, is speaking out about the negative effect of U.S. trade policies on workers.

    Luis Adolfo Cardona, a Colombian trade unionist who narrowly escaped being murdered by a death squad in his home country, will describe the campaign to organize workers at Coca-Cola. He and his family, who still face threats from the death squads, have taken refuge in the United States.
