BCFMWU expecting lockout of Deas Pacific workers Web posted by NUPGE
Vancouver - The B.C. Ferry and Marine Workers Union, which has been in a legal strike position since Sunday, expects 160 employees of Deas Pacific Marine to be locked out.

The union is trying to find out why B.C. Ferries Services has removed essential equipment from Deas Pacific work sites and storage facilities.

'They have given no notification to us that they are going to be removing what would be the work of the Deas Pacific Marine workers from that site,' says BCFMWU president Jackie Miller. 'We deem that to be an illegal lockout.'
