CEP Reaches "Groundbreaking" Deal at Abitibi Canada NewsWire
Canada's largest union of forest industry workers has achieved a major contract settlement with the world's largest newsprint producer.
The 150,000 member Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada signed the 5 year proposed settlement with Abitibi-Consolidated at midnight Tuesday covering some 4,500 workers in Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland.
