In carpentry Olympics, there's no hammer throw CBC Saskatchewan
While some Canadians are hoping the nation's Olympic athletes can eke out another medal or two, carpenters and drywallers from across the country are vying to hammer down a gold of their own in Saskatoon.
Their union brings all the provincial champions together each year for the National Apprenticeship Contest, which organizers say raises awareness about carpentry while letting contenders show off their skills.
