Scaffold law could be amended Mid-Hudson News, NY
Assemblywoman Nancy Calhoun of Blooming Grove is a prime sponsor of legislation that would amend the Scaffold Law to extend certain exceptions to owners of farms and multiple dwellings who contract for, but do not direct or control, the work.
Under current law, all contractors, owners and their agents, except for the owners of one- and two-family dwellings, who contract for, but do not direct or control the work, are absolutely liable for injuries suffered on their premises due to an unsafe workplace.------------------------------------------- posted 6:04 AM :: reference link ::
