Union sees tough talks ahead at NiMo By FRED O. WILLIAMS, Buffalo News
Workers who keep Niagara Mohawk's wires humming have never gone on strike, but they're bracing for a battle now as the present contract winds down to its expiration date Sept. 30.

Electrical workers say they expect looming contract talks - the first with new owner National Grid - to be especially contentious.

'They are very tough to deal with,' said David Falletta, president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 97, which represents 4,100 Niagara Mohawk workers statewide.
