Competing TV ads feature same Safeway worker Rocky Mountain News, CO
Colorado TV viewers have seen a great deal of Safeway worker Trish Valente in the past few weeks. First, she was spotlighted in a commercial produced for her union, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7.
In that spot, Valente expressed the fears many workers have been voicing at negotiation meetings with their companies in the past month - that new contract proposals could mean a loss of health care coverage.
Next came a second commercial, this one paid for by King Soopers and Safeway, espousing the companies' view of the situation, saying Valente and other workers had been lied to about the company's health care proposal.------------------------------------------- posted 6:41 AM :: reference link ::
