    40,000 Union Activists in NYC Protest Bush Policies AFL-CIO
    “George Bush is the working person’s worst nightmare,” Brian McLaughlin, president of the New York City Central Labor Council, told the cheering crowd.
     
    “Today, we are focused on the war right here at home—the war on the American worker. The Bush White House insidiously undermines anything and everything that took decades to protect and benefit working families. It is time to take back America!”
