New B.C. ferries to be built by company used by Hitler? National Union of Public and General Employees, Canada
Vancouver - B.C. Ferries, with the apparent approval of Premier Gordon Campbell, has already decided to award a $500 million contract for three new Super-C ferries to the Flensburger shipyard, a Germany company that once turned out U-boats for Adolph Hitler.
The B.C. Shipyard General Workers' Federation says it has learned that the contract has been signed with Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, and is subject only to approval of the all-but-invisible B.C. Ferries board of directors.
B.C. Ferries is run by an American CEO named David Hahn, appointed last year by the Campbell government. Hahn has acknowledged on several occasions that he is negotiating with European shipyards.------------------------------------------- posted 6:39 AM :: reference link ::
