Teamsters: House of Representatives Rebukes Bush on Highway Safety PRNewswire
International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa commended the bipartisan coalition for supporting the Olver Amendment. "By rebuking President Bush's efforts to allow unsafe and uncertified foreign trucks to operate in the United States, an overwhelming majority of House members used their votes to take a stand for working families, highway safety and common sense," Hoffa said. "Just as he's created two Americas with his economic policies, President Bush seeks to create two safety regimes for trucking companies operating in the U.S. -- one for foreign carriers and one for domestic carriers."------------------------------------------- posted 6:49 AM :: reference link ::
