After the fall: Grief, injuries, bewilderment 2 BY Theresa D. Mcclellan, MLive.com, MI
David Wernette cannot explain it, but he 'had a funny feeling' just before he started climbing off the scaffolding at the Target store construction site along 28th Street SE.
'Within five seconds after my foot touched the ground, it (the scaffolding) started coming down. There was no time,' said the 30-year-old man, who watched in horror as one friend fell to his death and another was seriously injured.
Witnesses said three other workers who were on the structure during Wednesday's 12:37 p.m. collapse were bruised, but able to walk away.------------------------------------------- posted 1:14 PM :: reference link ::
