Michigan faces challenge of retraining workers to save jobs Detroit Free Press
The state needs health care workers, auto mechanics, carpenters and other skilled trades workers, the newspaper said.
To turn the tide, experts say the state must create a network where business, labor, education and government coordinate to train workers to compete in high-growth industries. And workers must embrace continuing education and specialized training and align their skills with the needs of Michigan companies.
