'Bad mix' -- then tragedy By ISAAC GUERRERO, Rockford Register Star, IL
LOVES PARK -- A 'bad mix of cement' prompted a Rockford firm to remove concrete walls that ultimately toppled and crushed an employee to death, said an executive overseeing construction at King's Acres subdivision.
What caused two of the walls to collapse at the home construction site, killing Craig Bicker and seriously injuring Peter Wells, was the question a federal inspector posed Friday to contractors and subcontractors who worked on the job.
