BCGEU says WCB is "Part of the Problem" of Workplace Violence Community Of Injured Workers In Canada
BCGEU President George Heyman said "The WCB has made significant cuts to workers’ health and safety--reducing regulatory requirements, cutting back on inspections, and issuing fewer warning letters to employers. The WCB now largely relies on employers to directly ensure the workplace is safe. Too often, there’s no compliance, no inspections and no enforcement. And we’re now seeing the effect of these cuts--fatalities in B.C. overall are up 22 percent since 2000."------------------------------------------- posted 1:25 PM :: reference link ::
